How to claim

Get in touch

Head to our contact form within 90 days of your order. Tell us which bra is chafing and where it's chafing. A photo helps us spot the issue faster.

Send us the details

We'll need your order number, the email you used for your fitting, and a quick description of the problem. We may ask a couple of follow-up questions.

We'll work with you

If something's not right, we'll refit, swap, or replace. We'll reply within two working days and take it from there. You must have had a fitting with us to qualify.

  • Chafing on the band, the straps, or any seam.

  • Rubbing during normal exercise within the 90-day window.

  • Friction issues that show up after several wears, not just on the first try.

  • Bras bought directly from maaree.com.

  • Sports bras you got fitted in by a MAAREE fitter (virtual or in person), bought in the size we recommended.

What's not covered

  • Bras bought from anywhere other than maaree.com or our in-person events. We can only honour the guarantee on orders we have fulfilled directly.

  • Bras you didn't get fitted in by a MAAREE fitter, or bras bought in a different size to the one we recommended.

  • Wear and tear from heavy use beyond 90 days.

  • Damage from improper care, including washing above 40°C, tumble drying, or drying in direct sunlight.

  • Damage caused by sharp or hard objects, falls, or use outside what the bra is designed for.

  • Bras modified or repaired by someone other than us.

  • Re:Rack bras (our refurbished line). The Re:Rack range has its own terms.

Common questions

What counts as chafing?

Anything that's rubbing, scratching, or causing redness while you're wearing the bra during normal activity. You'll know if you've got it as it may cause some stinging in the area while you shower.

Why does a bigger bust make chafing more of a problem?

With larger cups sizes, there is more movement. Chafing happens when your sports bra isn't sitting snug to your body and therefore rubs across it over and over again. If there is more motion, as there usually is with larger cups, then the move irritation that can occur. Unfortunately the problem can be exacerbated or occur more easily with the larger cup sizes, but this doesn't mean it can't be solved!

Do I have to have had a fitting first?

Yes, the formal guarantee applies to bras bought within 28 days following a virtual or in-person fitting. The fitting is what makes the guarantee work, because we know you're in the right size before you start wearing it. If you didn't have a fitting and your bra is chafing, get in touch anyway. We'll always try to help. Just know that we may won't be able to honour the formal claim process.

What if I bought from somewhere other than maaree.com?

The guarantee covers bras we fulfilled directly. If your bra came from somewhere else, we won't have a record of the fitting and the size recommendation, so we can't process a formal claim.

What if the chafing started after 90 days?

The 90-day window is the formal limit. Our bodies can change shape and size fairly regularly, so we are unable to guarantee the fit confidently beyond this point.

Will I have to pay return postage?

Return postage is covered by us too. Taking all the unnecessary stress away from you. We also cover the cost of the repair or replacement itself.

Will I get a repair, a replacement, or a refund?

This is decided case by case based on what makes most sense for the issue. A refit or a swap to a different style usually does it.

What if I bought a different size to the one the fitter recommended?

The guarantee applies to the size we recommended. If you went a different way at checkout (a sister size, a different style), we may not be able to honour the formal claim.

The detailed policy

Chafe-free guarantee policy

This is the formal version of the guarantee for anyone who wants the detail.

1. Who's covered

This guarantee is offered by MAAREE Ltd. (registered in England and Wales, company no. 10301471) to the original purchaser of a new MAAREE sports bra bought directly from us at maaree.com. We can only honour the guarantee on orders we have fulfilled and on bras we have fitted, because that is the only way we have the records needed to process a claim.

2. The 90-day window

The guarantee runs for 90 days from the date of purchase. A repaired or replacement bra issued under the guarantee is covered for the remainder of the original 90-day period, not a fresh 90 days.

3. Conditions for a claim

For a claim under this guarantee to succeed:

  • You must be the original purchaser, with proof of purchase.
  • You must have had a virtual or in-person fitting with a MAAREE fitter before the purchase, using the same email address as the order.
  • The bra must be in the size we recommended at the fitting.
  • The issue must be a chafing or rubbing issue, raised within the 90-day window.

4. What's not covered

  • Wear and tear, fading, or any cosmetic change that doesn't affect performance.
  • Damage from washing above 40°C, tumble drying, drying in direct sun, or any other care outside our recommendations.
  • Damage from sharp or hard objects, falls, abnormal impacts, or use outside what the bra is designed for.
  • Defects caused by transportation or storage after the bra has reached you.
  • Bras modified or repaired by anyone other than us.
  • Bras bought from any source other than maaree.com.
  • Re:Rack bras, which have their own terms.

5. How a claim is resolved

We'll repair or replace the bra at no charge. The choice between repair and replacement is ours, based on the cost and feasibility of each option and the inconvenience to you. We aim to resolve claims within a reasonable timeframe and we'll keep you posted at each step.

Return postage is your responsibility. If the bra turns out to be faulty rather than chafing, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply and we cover postage in line with those rights.

6. How to make a claim

Use our contact form to get in touch within the 90-day window. We'll need your order number, the email used for the fitting, and a description of the issue. A photo or video helps.

7. Your statutory rights

This guarantee is voluntary and sits on top of your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits those rights.

8. Liability

This guarantee is your sole and exclusive remedy under the chafe-free promise. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost time, replacement costs elsewhere, inconvenience) beyond what UK law requires us to cover. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, for breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Governing law

This guarantee is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers based outside England and Wales may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
